The Line: production line for the Chrysler Neon

The Situation: The model change to accommodate the Neon, provided Chrysler with a major opportunity to upgrade its line operations and implement the latest ideas and technology in the marketplace.

Our Track Record: Chrysler was familiar with Mainway equipment and had used it successfully in various applications.

The Challenges:

1. Extremely constricted space at lineside
2. Provision of optimum worker safety under conditions marked by heavy fork lift traffic
3. Increasing demands from unions for ergonomically designed workspaces

The Solution:

1. Mainway installed 60 Flow Tilters ä because the over and under capabilities of this equipment provides the best utilization of space, minimizes fork lift traffic and is ergonomically outstanding in it's performance.
2. Once installed, the Flow Tilters ä had the capability of handling a multitude of different containers.
3. Mainway customized the units with further safety features specifically, accordion bellows (a roll-up guard), safety screens, and emergency lock-up stops.

The Results : Mainway outperformed all its competition to become the solution that Chrysler chose. Mainway provided Chrysler with the most effective and cost efficient solution in the marketplace today.
